Safety Guidance
Last updated: 2 September 2026
Use good judgment and in-app reporting tools. Verification badges reduce uncertainty but do not guarantee a user, property, item or task.
1. Marketplace safety
- Meet in a public, safe place and tell someone you trust.
- Inspect products, ownership and condition before paying.
- Do not send money because of pressure or unrealistic offers.
- Report suspicious listings, users or messages.
2. Housing safety
- Inspect the property physically before paying.
- Confirm landlord or agent identity, authority, rent and fees independently.
- EKSU Marketplace does not collect rent, hold deposits or provide Housing escrow.
- A verified Housing Agent badge does not guarantee property ownership or safety.
3. Task safety
- Agree scope, timing, location and payment before work starts.
- Avoid illegal, dangerous, inappropriate or academic-cheating requests.
- Meet safely and report suspicious tasks or users.
4. Account and payment safety
- Never share your password, email code, OTP, PIN or full card details.
- EKSU Marketplace staff will never ask for your account password.
- Use platform links and verified payment pages; screenshots are not proof of payment.
- Report compromise to support@eksumarketplace.com.
5. Immediate danger
EKSU Marketplace is not an emergency service. Leave unsafe situations and contact local emergency services, campus security or a trusted person.
Questions or complaints can be submitted through our Contact page.
